Mindfulness is a form of meditation which is accepted by society, has been scientifically proven to have effect and is easy to learn and teach. In this Mindfulness Retreat you can go deep inside yourself and also learn techniques to keep presence and relaxation in your everyday life. The methods are the same as the founder of Mindfulness, Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn, teaches. Gunnar, who leads this retreat, is trained by Jon and Gunnar is also one of the founders of Mindfulnessgruppen, responsible for the course.

The interest for Mindfulness is rapidly increasing due to its strong effects. Both individuals and the social sector, business arena and the school system is now opening to Mindfulness and it is now used by persons, companies, schools, chronically ill and unemployed.

Effect

Several studies made in the USA and Sweden show that Mindfulness practitioners have increased capacity for concentration and focus, handle stress and demands better, sleep better, experience less anxiety, more selfinsight, clarity and awareness. Many who go a course in Mindfulness change their attitude to life forever. Mindfulness also increases the effects of medical treatment of diagnoses like stress, burnout, pain, sleep disorders, anxiety, fibromyalgia and psoriasis.
