What-can-I-do?

4 courses facilitated by Marianne Klee, MD,PhD

Background

The course is based on the view that we as human beings are influenced by physical, psychological, social and spiritual factors. The hurts and pains that we experience in our lives are stored in our body as tension, creating a pain body.

Healing the pain of a lifetime is an inner journey that most of us only undertake after we have been broken open by a life crisis.

The best tools for healing are those that approach the pain from two or more aspects such as body and mind, soul and body or relationships and mind.

A good tool is a way of relating to your inner pain that is developed and tested by a quality teacher, one who has walked the walk before he talks the talk, who recognises the pain and the struggle that is part of doing inner work and who knows that there is not one path, but many.

About the courses

In the What-can-I-do? Courses, we will be looking at the pain body model in detail using it as our roadmap for our inner journey, as well as a number of different tools that can support your personal growth.

The tools that we focus on will be those that you can use yourself in your daily life and the course will be a place where you try them out and see which ones you may want to learn more about. You will also find travel companions that you can share your experience with during the course and after.

We will be trying out tools such as mindfulness based meditation, Focusing, Zen Coaching, Body dialogue, Trauma-release and yoga.

There are 4 courses during 2012 with the same model and tools but looking at them from different perspectives. The first one is an introduction for anyone looking for tools for personal growth, the second is for people in contact with cancer, the third is for health care professionals and in the last the focus in on burnout and depression.

When you sign up for a course you will be asked to provide relevant information about your current situation. If I have any concerns about your ability to get maximum benefit from the course, I (the course facilitator) will contact you.
