Many many thanks to all of you who came to Ängsbacka to celebrate New Year with us!
Together we created a fantastic journey, where everyone contributed with their gifts – workshopleaders, musicians, volunteers, staff – and of course all participants. The program contained many different workshops about getting to know your self, know your resources, dare to give of your self and find your own inner center and stillness. Every day had a theme, which made the festival to a process, unique for every one of us and still with shared experiences. We had concerts, dance and open stage where marvellous talents took the chance to be seen by the most loving audience.
So we entered the new year together with open hearts and with our clear intentions, which we let white lanterns carry to the sky in a still and sincere ceremony. After that we rocked to the house band and partied all night! Now – let us make this whole year into a party and a journey, just as fantastic!

The New Year’s Festival at Ängsbacka is a mix of playfulness, depth, ceremonies, party and joy! 2012 is a special and somewhat serious number for many. Both the world and we are changing in a rapid pace right now and we would like to offer you the possibility to focus on your potential and how we can cope with all the challenges of life in a positive and flexible way.
Our workshop leaders, musicians, volunteers and staff are prepared to receive you and take you on a wonderful journey. You will get support in letting go of the old, investigate your own resources and find your unique contribution to the world around you. Each of us can let our awareness manifest in our lives, both in the everyday situation and when we celebrate!
We offer morning practices such as yoga, meditation and movement, as well as workshops during the day on different themes, such as relationships, presence, coaching, vision work, masculine and feminine, creativity and much more. We also offer concerts, open stage, song and dance in different forms.
You can chose how intense you would like your festival to be – sometimes a walk in the winter forest is more appealing. There are also many chances just to enjoy the Ängsbacka atmosphere of openness, warmth and care together.
On New Year’s Eve we will arrange a fire walk ceremony in the afternoon to manifest the transition to the new year. We start the evening with dance and music and eat a vegetarian gourmet meal together. At midnight we gather to wish each other a fantastic new year 2012. Join us, and have an unforgettable and meaningful New Year’s celebration!
The festival is alcohol and drug free according to the policy of Ängsbacka. Children are welcome, but we arrange no special children’s program at the New Year Festival.
