Ängsbackas midsummer festival is the start of the summer festival season and has a special tone of intimacy and sensuality that is irresistible!
We have created an inspiring, stimulating and fun programs that give the festival a heartfelt atmosphere. We offer entertainment with music, games and dancing, good vegetarian food during the festival and on Midsummer Eve a delicious midsummer buffet that includes fish. The festival is a drug and alcohol free.
The program also features new and familiar teacher who leads workshops on the themes of self-knowledge, relationships, masculine/feminine, meetings in precense, heart to heart. Of course you always choose yourself which of the activities on the program that you want to take part in – sometimes a walk in the forest might be more attractive!
Right in the heart of the lush countryside of Värmland, we celebrate this genuinely traditional event – but in a different ceremonial and exciting way that refers back to the original celebration of fertility. If you are single, take this opportunity to experience the cordial meetings with other people, you will meet new friends and maybe even a friend for life!
We have had the midsummer festival for many years here at Ängsbacka and it is a valued tradition and for those who come here for the first time it’s a great way to get to know Ängsbacka.
