During all of May we will create a community circle at Ängsbacka, taking over from Winterflow:s community circle. We will focus on the magic of living together as a nurturing creative family, arranging the practicalities for the courses taking place and preparing for the summer festivals. Welcome to contact us as soon as possible so we can get a picture of your interest and start up some circles for this spring and summer and lay the ground for the years to come!
As a regular volunteer you join our volunteer crew as described in the summer volunteer section. To apply to the community circles you are interested in contributing to the Ängsbacka community in a somewhat more profound way. You will be part of the community circles, dedicated to create a healthy community as well as a practical and energetic work environment where we can thrive. You contribute with your particular practical expertise to Ängsbacka and/or your Ängsbacka experience, enthusiasm, authenticity and commitment. You hold the space for your circle, your transformation in every day living and for your practical tasks. You spend longer/reoccuring periods at Ängsbacka. Your main focus is to create a living community, rather than just joining festival workshops. You plan the summer together with us during the spring and pass on the practical know-how and group community companionship to future participants in our community circles. You are devoted to this cause and will do what ever is needed to create the nourishing living community circle we long for and welcome others to step into our community as they join for shorter periods.

Join us for several weeks/months during April, May, June, July and August 2012.
Welcome from April 29th and stay on during the month of May or the whole summer. You are welcome to come the whole four month summer period or for a shorter time. Come be part of the preparations in May and June and then return later in the summer for another period or join us only for a summer period – depending on what is possible for you. What the coming autumn and winter will look like, we plan together with whoever is interested during the summer.
By gathering during May we get the chance to establish and ground the qualities we want to live together, before the intense festivals start blasting through our grounds. You are welcome to come for the whole or a shorter period of April / May / June. For the ones of you who want to stay at Ängsbacka for a longer period of the summer, you are especially welcome to join us in May and be part of this period when we have more time to establish our living community circles together.
The circle in May mentioned above is a prototype of a bigger network of community circles which is a new form, flavor and foundation for our organization where we live and work together. We start in the end of April to form a circle for the ending of the spring course season. Simultaneously we are going to let new circles be born throughout the spring and summer. These circles will now mainly focus on the summer of 2012 but these community circles are aiming to establish a new all-year-round organization, laying a foundation for a new way of living and working together at Ängsbacka. Community Circle: No volunteer fee
Instead of paying as a regular volunteer the community circle function as a base crew who spend several months or weeks at Ängsbacka, devoted to the practical and energetic build-up of our community. We value long-timers and want to make it valuable for you to stay here for a longer period and form a living community. We also deeply value people with practical training and experience. If you want to join and have any questions about the form and flexibility of the community circle deal, please contact us so we can make it possible for you to synk and join!
Depending on how long you stay and the accommodation options available, we will plan a form of accommodation that works for you.
On average the job is comparable to a full-time 35 hour/week job, where you spend more time in your work experience some days and less some days, taking days off as it fits you and your work routine.
Your working hours are similar to the working hours of coordinators and work leaders the previous years, but with a new-born grounding in the intention and identity of our community: to create a community, an organization, and a place where we want to be, where we are nourished and remember how to step out of draining dysfunctional patterns.
Your working hours are NEED-BASED. This means that the people in the group and the work tasks in your work area should all get what they need. You give as much as you got, you serve your work area, your work friends and the circle of guests with as much as you naturally have energy for. Some days you work long shifts cause you can and want to, some days you have less to give and need to recuperate and then you work less. You map out the flexibility and variation in your work tasks. For example some days one thrives from simple monotonous chopping cleaning tasks, some days one thrives from creative freedom and responsibility. Within the circle you decide who does what and when. If you want to have a totally organized schedule for every day, week and month or if you want to communicate with each other and see who does what each day/week, this you decide together based on the current ideals, needs and experiences in your group and work area.
By creating self-supportive circles we can understand and meet each others needs instead of having different deals creating a feeling of unfair treatment, injustices, misunderstandings and draining conflicts. When we all make sure that everyone gets what everyone needs we naturally fall into a generous ECOSYSTEM where we support each other and ‘different needs’ no longer seem unfair or threatening to us, cause each one of us are already fulfilled or know how to connect to the circle in order to get fulfilled. Thus NATURAL COEXISTENCE can thrive. When you work and give in to your work area and your circle, you don’t compromise but naturally want to or choose to give what you give cause it is worth it, it makes sense to you, it supports something you believe in and something you want to contribute to and you know that you give and receive in a circle, CREATING A COMMUNITY YOU WANT TO LIVE IN. Within the circle you make sure that the work area get the attention it needs to function well and that the circle participants get what they need to function well. “No matter what” we set the well-being of our living community circle first, so that we create a sustainable way of working together. If we need to adjust/simplify our work tasks to be able to serve our circle we do so with creativity and courage. With full responsibility, we welcome you to let the magic dynamics of living and working within a circle show you the way!
Within the community circle you create the work atmosphere you long for, with a variation of LEADERSHIP, FOLLOWSHIP and FELLOWSHIP: of RESPONSIBILITY, CREATIVITY and SIMPLICITY. Sometimes we need to simplify our work task or ask for help. Sometimes we expand and transcend our work tasks in creative ways that inspire us and happen through us!
The community circle form is established and goes on all-year-around. You commit to a certain period of time and work task, then you can stay on longer if you choose to do so. You decide your own purpose to join: to be part of a community, to create projects nourishing our human and economical sustainable growth, to meet and live together with your tribe, to establish the Ängsbacka Village, to learn by doing, get valuable work experience, knowledge, know-how and training, diplomas and references, to give training to others as in starting up your own business projects, to give your gift and try out your practices, to take part in workshops catalyzing your work synergy and spiritual development, etc.
