Bring everything that You are, and together we create Ängsbacka magic!

This year Ängsbacka offers a full flared festival experience with a varied program that kicks off with Yoga & Dance Easter Festival and Sacred Womb in the spring. Our Midsummer Festival for all ages takes us straight into the summer vibe that lasts all the way into August. We believe that most will find something that truly resonates with them from our “buffet” where we meet in music, dance, meditation, yoga and stillness, creativity, ceremonies, playfulness and much more.

Each summer since 1996 people have gathered on the land of Ängsbacka in an open, vibrant, heartfelt field of exploration. These experiences hold the transformational potential of connecting us deeper to Life itself; as we meet ourselves and each other beyond thoughts and concepts.

What are You longing to explore and invite into Your life this summer?

What is an Ängsbacka Festival?

Our festivals always start with a WELCOME CEREMONY on the first night, where representatives for Ängsbacka share valuable information and guidelines for the days ahead. We explore the theme of the week and set intentions, meditate, share music, inspiration, and present some of the people who will host activities. The welcome meeting sets the tone for our time together  – make sure you do not miss it!

Each day there will be a generous amount of in- and out-door workshops such as meditations, dance and other themed workshops to choose from. In general you do not need to pre-book the activity – if this is indeed necessary you will find directions in connection to where the program is presented. In the evenings you can enjoy a concert, perhaps join the popular Ängsbacka Open Stage or simply hang out by the firepit in front of the Café.

Depending on the festival you have booked we might offer workshops regarding consent and safety that are a requirement for you to attend in order to get access to the full program of activities. With this exception, all activities offered are entirely voluntary.

We encourage you to follow what you long for in each moment and if you find that the activity you had in mind is full – or that you simply wish to step into your own flow for an afternoon – Ängsbacka is beautifully situated in nature with a garden and surrounding forests with walking trails, and we highly recommend the nearby lake for swimming.

During your stay at Ängsbacka you will get the unique opportunity to participate in a daily SHARING circle together with a few others in a fixed group. In one of the first information meetings you will be supported to form a circle that holds a sacred space for open hearted and attentive listening. One person shares at a time, while the others sit in silence, paying attention to the person sharing. Everyone in the group will have the same amount of time available to them and everything that is said or done within this sacred space stays there, you do not bring it up outside sharing.

During sharing we can integrate experiences by putting words to them. This is a good place to land, a grounding place to come to every day. And a place where friendships for life can be born.

Ängsbacka is an international course and festival center with people from all over the world. The main language during the camping season is ENGLISH.

If there is a longing for a deeper personal experience there is the possibility to book a treatment by selected professional therapists in our HEALING CIRCLE. You can expect a variety of massage, energy work, counseling and coaching from selected professional therapists. You find more information about the session givers in the information area.

Ängbsacka is situated in abundant nature with surrounding forests, a majestic garden and lakes nearby to swim on hot days.

Tasty and nutrious VEGETARIAN FOOD is served three times a day. We offer plenty of locally produced and organic food.

The CAFÉ of Ängsbacka is filled with yummy treats, snacks, sandwiches and raw food cakes.

Ängsbacka has a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ILLICIT DRUG AND ALCOHOL. We dont serve alcohol, and it is not allowed to drink or to be under influence of alcohol or other subtstances when you are at Ängsbacka.

If you are found under the influence, we will ask you to leave immediately.

When people share what is special for them about Ängsbacka, they often refer to the atmosphere and the overall experience.

When enough people in a group dare to open up, be vulnerable and communicate from the heart, a “common field” arises. In that field, we feel seen, heard and held, and have the opportunity to express (and be met in) the whole spectrum of our feelings – joy, zest for life, sadness, anger and frustration.

Something deep within us relaxes and an acceptance towards ourselves and others arrives.

There are those who call Ängsbacka a magical place. Perhaps it’s because of this field that arises. A field of magic.

Participants of all ages – from Sweden and the rest of the world – return to Ängsbacka’s year after year. Both for the experience of coming home to themselves – and for the feeling of being naturally involved in something bigger than themselves.
