Once again we are opening our Conscious Camping and we long to welcome You whether you’re visiting for the first or tenth time.
Each summer for the past 25 years we gathered on the land of Ängsbacka in an open, vibrant, heartfelt field of exploration. These potentially life changing experiences are connecting us deeper to Life itself; as we meet ourselves and each other beyond thoughts and concepts.
This year we give even more people the opportunity to do so as we launch our very first Ängsbacka Summer Online! Read more about the different summer experiences by making your selection below, or read more about our Online Summer

What is an Ängsbacka Festival

The information below has been written with our regular festivals in mind. Although the word ‘festival’ is used, they still apply to Conscious Camping.

Our festivals always start with connecting in a WELCOME CEREMONY on the first night, with music, inspiration, the intention of the festival and presentation of the workshop leaders.

Each day you have a number of parallel WORKSHOPS to choose from, and in the evenings there are concerts, dance, open stage or simply time for hanging out in the café.

During the festival you will participate in a daily SHARING circle. Together you create a sacred space for open hearted and attentive listening. One person shares at a time, while the others sit in silence paying attention to the person sharing. Everyone in the group will have the same amount of time available to them and everything that is said or done within this sacred space stays there, you do not bring it up outside sharing.

Here we can integrate experiences by putting words to them. This is a good place to land, a grounding place to come to every day. And a place where friendships for life can be born.

Our festivals offer you the chance to try out various workshops and activities BASED ON ONE’S OWN LONGING IN THE PRESENT MOMENT. We aim to set each time slot in the program so there is something for everyone, regardless if one wants stillness, inspiration, or intensity and expression.

Ängsbacka is an international course and festival center with people from all over the world. The main language during the festivals is ENGLISH.

If there is a longing for a deeper experience there is the possibility to book a treatment by selected professional therapists in our HEALING CIRCLE. The participants are offered a variety of massage, energy work, counseling and coaching from selected professional therapists. You book and pay for your session in cash on-site at Ängsbacka.

The festival area is situated in abundant nature with surrounding forests, a majestic garden and lakes nearby to swim on hot days.

Tasty and nutrious VEGETARIAN FOOD is served three times a day. We offer plenty of locally produced and organic food.

The CAFÉ of Ängsbacka is filled with yummy desserts, snacks, sandwiches and raw food cakes. When you’re ready to wind down after a long day you can enjoy take a steamy rest in the large WOOD-FIRED SAUNA.

Ängsbacka has a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ILLICIT DRUG AND ALCOHOL. We dont serve alcohol, and it is not allowed to drink or to be under influence of alcohol or other subtstances when you are at Ängsbacka.

If you are found under the influence, we will ask you to leave immediately.

When people share what is special for them about Ängsbacka’s festivals, they often refer to the atmosphere and the overall experience.

When enough people in a group dare to open up, be vulnerable and communicate from the heart, a “common field” arises. In that field, we feel seen, heard and held, and have the opportunity to express (and be met in) the whole spectrum of our feelings – joy, zest for life, sadness, anger and frustration.

Something deep within us relaxes and an acceptance towards ourselves and others arrives.

There are those who call Ängsbacka a magical place. Perhaps it’s because of this field that arises. A field of magic.

Participants of all ages – from Sweden and the rest of the world – return to Ängsbacka’s festivals year after year. Both for the experience of coming home to themselves – and for the feeling of being naturally involved in something bigger than themselves.
