Leela

Ecosomatics and dance

Leela is a dancer and somatic movement educator. In her facilitation, she weaves together bodywork, movement exploration and mindfulness, exploring how embodiment can help us arrive more fully in the present moment. Through dance, she invites participants to reflect on our origins and our kinship with all other life forms on this planet. Working with embodied anatomy through sensing and moving, she offers gentle pathways to sense the body as part of a wider, interconnected web of life.

Leela studied contemporary dance, somatic methods, pedagogics and manual therapy. She has worked as an artist in several ecology-focused projects and teaches dance in festivals and retreat settings. Her work is guided by the question: Can learning to attune to and care for the movement of life within and around us support more socially and ecologically responsible choices in everyday life?
