Anna Ottertun

Song and vocal sounds

Anna Ottertun is a singer, performer and songwriter from Sweden. She is deep into sounding and sways smoothly between different vocal traditions and languages. As a young woman she inherited a lot of song in arabic after Talal Ismail, Mosul, Iraq. In their group "Sumer" they performed throughout Europe (1996-2012) and ever since she happily share those songs. In the world music quartet "Tetra" she sings and play percussion in basicly four different folk traditions greek, nordic, caribbean, and arabic. Later on she formed the quintet "Mor", where she writes new music in arabic scales and rythms, with swedish lyrics.
