Holy Tree’s music plays a central role at Ängsbacka, and has shaped the festival experience for thousands of people over the past decade. We have been singing their songs, feeling the connection to ourselves and the togetherness that only music brings. Guided by their sound we journeyed into presence, into movement, dance, stillness and beyond; all the way held by unique qualities of music that is born in the moment. Now all of us get the chance to actively support Holy Tree in capturing some of those moments in recordings that will be made available through your favourite streamer later this year.

If you have been to Ängsbacka in the past 10 years you may very well have met the music of Holy Tree. Malin Wik and Filip Fišer form the core of the band; and in constellations that vary from hosting three up to ten or more musicians they have invited us to experience their uniquely crafted musical landscapes in countless gatherings, concerts and ceremonies since 2016. Their music is, for many, equal to the sound of Ängsbacka. Given that they served as the “Houseband” for more than 50 festivals, this is no wonder!

Holy Tree has consistently offered an intimate setting where sound and music itself are at the center. Their music was born in symbiosis with all of you who came to listen and took part of its emergence. Our collaboration continues – we now need your support to allow Holy Tree, a band born and grown in the fertile soil of Ängsbacka, to take the step from the stage to becoming recording artists.
