Afro Drumming

Gabriel is a playful and appreciated djembe player and instructor. He wholeheartedly shares his 30 years of experience in playing as a lead djembe player for West African Dancers, and is an instructor for West African drumming since 2006. He learned most from the great masters Famoudou Konaté, Mamady Keita and Sidhiki Camara, and has visited West Africa several times to attend different drum courses and study the culture. The last decade has involved performances at many dance and music festivals in Europe, India and Sri Lanka, plus projects with DJ:s, musicians and tribal psychedellic electronic music.
