Rattles & Roots

Stickan and Leona are the two women behind Rattles and Roots. They make rattles and other ceremonial tools. Drawing inspiration from the elements, circles, and music, they craft artisanal, handmade, high-quality items for ceremonial use.

At the Embodied Sound Festival, they offer a Rattle Assembly Workshop. You’ll choose a pre-made deerskin rattle head and foraged stick, find the sound that speaks to you, and be guided in assembling your own unique rattle. No prior experience is needed.
