Welcome to Sacred Womb Festival

Since 2017, Sacred Womb Festival has been hosted every year at Ängsbacka, welcoming women from all walks of life to connect, unwind, learn, inspire, and celebrate their womanhood.

Our mission is to bring women together. To educate them about the potential of their bodies, to expand their minds, help them heal their hearts and connect them to their innate sexual wholeness.

We strive to offer an experience of strength and unity – where our longing for belonging is met and welcomed. Where we can learn from each other, revive the ancient wisdom of the Circle and understand on a deep level what it means to fully relax in the company of other women.

Our vision is a world where women can be raw and open with each other, can celebrate each other’s greatness and focus on what we are here to create in service of the wholeness of self, Life and others.

We envision a circle of hundreds of women, from all over the world, standing together, learning, growing, shining together.

Is this festival for me?

Answer this simple question, am I a woman?
If your answer is yes, our answer is YES!

At Sacred Womb: Uniting Womanhood, our goal is to create an inclusive environment where every woman can feel welcomed, valued and empowered, regardless of their age, skin colour, profession, religion, belief system, or nationality.

In today’s modern world, we face many challenges as women. In ancient times and cultures, women came together in circles to support each other through these challenges and life transitions. Nowadays, many of us feel isolated and alone as our modern lifestyles are not supporting the traditional values of home, hearth and heart.

However, there are major shifts happening all over the world. Humanity is starting to awaken and women are rising, standing up for the wellbeing of their families, communities and the Earth, our home. It is a lot we need to manage as mothers, grandmothers, family caretakers, career builders, lovers and sisters. We need spaces that can hold us in our vulnerability, where we can show up authentically, share our wins and struggles and receive support and knowledge on how to stay balanced, healthy and in touch with our deep feminine intuition.

Our Festival aims to be a part of this awakening. We wish to give you the chance to feel the power of community, the experience of belonging, the opportunity for deep healing and magical self-discovery. Together, we are invincible.

Join the festival

Embrace the power of the Sacred Womb, a sanctuary where womanhood unites, heals, and thrives.

Sacred Womb Program – what can I expect?

While we welcome different teachers each year, our program at Sacred Womb Festival always includes certain elements that nourish the heart, body, mind, spirit, and sexual life force energy. As cyclical creatures, women are deeply connected to the rhythms and shifts of the Earth, the Moon, the elements, plants, and animals, even if we don’t always notice it. When we honor and understand our cyclical nature as part of nature itself, we become more relaxed, vibrant, healthy, and radiant.

In our modern lives, we are often disconnected from our spiraling and cyclical movements, so we always ensure to include teachers who can educate us about our cycles, hormones, fertility, blood mysteries, and basic anatomy. This is knowledge we all should receive at a young age, but rarely do.

We also believe in offering teachings that are relevant to all age groups, including inviting the Elder generation to teach and support us as we grow through our more mature years and learn to let go of our blood.

In addition to these recurring features, you can also expect to participate in other rituals and ceremonies, including our popular Fire Walk. And, of course, you’ll find all the other wonderful things that an Ängsbacka Festival has to offer, such as ecstatic dance, concerts and singing, yoga, nature walks, gong baths, sauna, and delicious vegetarian food.

  • An early morning program is offered - yoga, breathing, meditation etc. - before..
  • Breakfast - our first meal of the day.
  • A gathering for all with music and togetherness setting the tone of the day is followed by..
  • Morning workshops and other activities until..
  • Lunch - the main meal of the day.
  • Afternoon workshops and activities go on until..

  • An evening program follows; workshops, dance, live music or a cozy hang-out in the café.

Once per day everybody meets in their sharing groups; all of us come together for the core practice of Ängsbacka!

Workshops on the program are described and categorized in such a way that you can find out how advanced or challenging exercises you can expect beforehand.

The basic festival ticket includes a spot in a bunk bed in one of our dormitories.

All our indoor accommodations come at hostel standard with shared showers and toilets. We advise you to bring earplugs for better sleep if you are sound sensitive as the festival area can get loud at times (the program will end latest 02.00).

Depending on availability and your budget we offer the following options for indoor accommodation:

  • 4 bedroom (bunk bed)
  • double room (twin bed)
  • Single room

Indoor accommodation includes a blanket and pillow for each person. You need to bring your own bed sheets or a sleeping bag and a pillowcase. Towels are not included. We offer a possibility to rent sheets and towels at an additional cost.

If you would like to bring your camper or caravan - check availability when booking your ticket. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to offer electricity for any of these spots.

Sometimes you need more privacy or tranquility or maybe you want to bring your dog (no dogs allowed on site). Booking an off site accommodation can be a good option and many private house/flat owners offer spaces for rent during the summer. Please request the list of people offering off site accommodation by contacting our booking office.

The festival ticket includes all meals; breakfast lunch and dinner are prepared and served daily. Ängsbacka offers a vegetarian diet prepared with love. For practical reasons, we cannot meet any other wishes related to allergies or diets during festivals. All meals are presented at the outdoor serving tent area.
