As the year turns, we are invited to pause and consciously choose how we wish to begin this new chapter.
An inspired team of returning and new facilitators and musicians will guide the festival, offering their unique gifts to our shared celebration
Our New year’s Festival offers everything from dance to stillness, connection and inner exploration, so you can dive into what feels true for you.
On December 31st, we will gather for a carefully prepared New Year’s Eve buffet, a dinner experience unique to this time at Ängsbacka.
At Ängsbacka, we’ve celebrated this transition for many years, with fire, music and open hearts. Rather than rushing into the next chapter, we take time to truly experience the turning of the year. To reflect on what the year has brought you, the weight of it and the gifts of it, before dancing forward together.
This is a gathering for people who want more than a party, who want to celebrate the new year as well as the beauty of life.
To celebrate authentically is to allow yourself to arrive exactly as you are. Joyful or grieving, playful or quiet, full of hope or full of questions. Every part of the human experience belongs here. Come into the forest. Come to the fire. Come as you are.
Check-in: 15.00 – 18.30 at the reception

Welcome Ceremony: 20:00 in Upper Barn

On December 31, dress in your finest, most vibrant self and gather around the tables to share a delicious vegetarian buffet. Colourful, nourishing, and made with care, the shared meal sparkles with anticipation, setting the tone for the night ahead.
Before crossing into the next year we gather outside around the crackling bonfire and slow down for a small ceremony. In the warmth of the flames, there is a moment to reflect on the year behind us and connect with our intentions and wishes for the year ahead, for ourselves and the world we share. A space to see and be seen, to be wild and to be still.
As the new year arrives, the drums welcome it in and celebration takes over once again. We dance, sing, connect or simply enjoy being together. The music carries us forward, and the night continues with a vibrant DJ set. Sober, connected, and fully alive!
This is how we welcome a new year here.
The turning of the year is a rare opportunity to pause, reflect, and choose how you want to begin again. At Ängsbacka, we honour this transition with both depth and celebration: stillness and ceremony on one side, music, play and dance on the other.
The New Year’s Festival is a space to come home to yourself and to step into 2027 with intention, authenticity, and openness. Here, surrounded by like-hearted people who value genuine connection and conscious, sober celebration.
Whether you arrive alone, with friends, or with loved ones, you are welcome here!
Come as you are. To be seen, to celebrate, to reflect, and to dance into the new year together.
The program team is currently working on the development of an amazing program with the best teachers and musicians. In the months leading up to the Festival, we will regularely announce new teachers and musicians so do come back to check it out!
