Frida “Freebird” Granström

Frida ”Freebirrd” Granström started playing the violin when she was four years old. Since then, music has been at the heart of her life, and more than anything else her passion for traditional music from all around the world. She has toured Europe and the US with bands like Ye Banished Privateers, Pat Razket, Hemjord and Kraken shanty band. 

Her love for electronic music started at a forest rave in New Zeeland in 2010, back then as a dancer. But her passion for both traditional music and the electronic scene was combined as she started to DJ five years ago. Today, Freebird weaves together hypnotizing electronic music from every corner of the Earth: tribal echoes, industrial textures, ancient chants, and futuristic basslines together with her own acoustic violin, to remind us all where we come from, but also where we are heading.
